HEATHER GARTMAN
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Heather Gartman leads Zeno’s health practice and is the managing director of the Washington‚ D.C. office.  Ms. Gartman brings more than 19 years experience in brand and corporate communications‚ issues management‚ advocacy relations and social marketing for health care‚ corporate and consumer clients.

While at Zeno‚ Ms. Gartman has developed and executed marketing and communications programs for pharmaceuticals and consumer product and service companies‚ as well as non–profit‚ and trade association clients.  Clients represented include AstraZeneca‚ Schering–Plough‚ BD‚ Otsuka‚ American Liver Foundation‚ Distilled Spirits Council of America and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease. 

Formerly a Senior Vice President at Euro RSCG Magnet Communications‚ Ms. Gartman was responsible for the management and strategic direction of several large consumer‚ social marketing and public affairs accounts. Prior to Magnet‚ Ms. Gartman was the director of client service at Earle Palmer Brown‚ an integrated marketing communications firm.

Ms. Gartman has conducted government relations‚ issues management‚ ally development and grassroots work on behalf of a broad base of clients on issues ranging from helping UPS gain a direct air route into China to citing low–level nuclear waste sites and passing favorable pharmaceutical legislation in a state legislature.

In addition‚ Ms. Gartman is a trained focus group moderator‚ who has completed several projects trying to understand what motivates consumers to change their behavior including work for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on over–the–counter drug labeling.

Ms. Gartman earned her B.A. in political science from University of Western Ontario and M.A. in international affairs and marketing from American University.
